Drake’s “One Dance” Named Most Streamed Song Of The Summer By Spotify

With summer officially over, it’s time for a (musical) reckoning: which earworm dominated the soundwaves this season? According to streaming service Spotify, Drake’s low-key “One Dance” takes the crown for 2016’s song of the summer. The ranking is based on global streaming volume of individual tracks.

According to data from the streaming service, the song of the summer was Drake’s “One Dance”, featuring Wizkid and Kyla, the summer’s most-streamed song on Spotify, which released the 10 most-streamed songs in America during the summer.

The dancehall-inspired song has been streamed more than 750 million times on Spotify and sat at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 100 list for 10 weeks.
